Hoboken Pie

The Hoboken Pie sign is made from Dimensional 1/2" MDO plywood letters that were computer plotted, hand cut and hand painted. They are mounted on a custom steel channel designed to standoff from the brick facade and clear the existing gutter system. The channel system hangs from the top of the parapet with anchors on the back side and anchors from the front of the facade. The split channel allows the letters to slide in order to adjust the kerning. The letters are anchored by simple carriage bolts and fender washers and stands away from the facade angled slightly towards street level. The channel is painted brick color to give the sign the appearance of floating in front of the building.
