As a new hire engineer at Acuity Brands I was sent to pro/e training along with the sheet metal package. One day while at the dentist office I came up with this idea looking up at the dentist light. To better learn pro/e designing lighting I started with this as my first project. The fixture bellow is the 3rd and final generation design. Marketing and Sales loved the decorative fixture but product cost shelved the project. About twelve fully functional prototypes were produced in a variety of powder coated colors.
